Mbembu Nzambi o Ipunu (PUUEBL)

Overview

Mbembu Nzambi o Ipunu is a Scripture portions translation in Yipunu (also known as Punu or Ipunu), a Bantu language spoken primarily in southern Gabon and parts of the Republic of Congo. [1] Published in 2025 by The Seed Company, this edition contains the books of Luke, Acts, and James. Yipunu is spoken by approximately 168,500 people, mainly in southern Gabon. [1] Earlier Bible translation work in Yipunu includes a 1992 edition published by the Bible Society of Cameroon. [2] Christian missionaries, including those from the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA), have a long history of linguistic work in Yipunu, including the production of a French-Yipunu dictionary in 1966.
