North Bolivian Quechua New Testament (QULSBB)
Overview
The New Testament in North Bolivian Quechua, titled Mosoj Testamento, published in 1985 by Wycliffe Bible Translators in cooperation with the Bible Society of Bolivia. [1] North Bolivian Quechua, also known as North La Paz Quechua, is spoken by approximately 116,000 people in the department of La Paz, Bolivia. [2] It is a distinct Quechua variety from the more widely spoken South Bolivian Quechua. This was the first New Testament translation in North Bolivian Quechua, providing scripture access to a community that had previously relied on Spanish or other Quechua varieties for Bible reading.
