Sakachep New Testament (SCHWFW)

Overview

The Sakachep New Testament (titled "Pathien Lekhabu Inthieng Chongtung Thar") was published in 2017 by The Word for the World International, with a contribution from The Word for the World Southeast Asia, and NECTAR (North East Centre for Training and Research), under the direction of Rev. S. Nengzakhup. [1][3] Bible portions in Sakachep had been available since 2002, and this was the first complete New Testament. [1] Sakachep (also known as Khelma, or Sakechep) is a Kuki-Chin language spoken by approximately 25,000 people across the northeastern Indian states of Manipur, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, concentrated in areas such as Dima Hasao, Barak Valley, and Karbi Anglong.
