Suba New Testament (SXBWBT)
Overview
The Suba New Testament is the first Scripture published in the Suba language, a Great Lakes Bantu language spoken by the Abasuba on the eastern shore and islands of Lake Victoria — including Mfangano and Rusinga — in Homa Bay County, Kenya. Bible translation work in Suba commenced in 1992, and the New Testament was dedicated on 15 April 2011. [1] The translation was produced by Wycliffe Bible Translators in partnership with Bible Translation and Literacy East Africa (BTL). [2]
