Tai New Testament (TAWTNT)
Overview
The Tai New Testament (Jisas Klays Takaw Teplep Ne) was dedicated in 2014 after approximately 30 years of translation work by Pioneer Bible Translators. [1] Tai is a Papuan language of Papua New Guinea, spoken by roughly 1,000 people in a single village; Ethnologue cited 900 speakers in 1990. The dedication ceremony was a celebration in which the Tai people praised God with original worship songs and dance. [1]
