Udmurt New Testament (UDMIBT)

Overview

The Udmurt New Testament was published by the Institute for Bible Translation (IBT) in 2016 as a revised edition. Udmurt is a Uralic (Permic) language spoken by over 300,000 people primarily in the Udmurt Republic of Russia, in the Volga–Ural region. IBT's Udmurt programme published Mark in 1991, John in 1997, the four Gospels and Acts in 2001, the first New Testament in 2006, and this revised New Testament in 2016, with Old Testament portions issued in parallel. IBT's Udmurt translation project is coordinated through IBT's Helsinki office, which manages translation projects in 12 Finno-Ugric languages spoken in Russia. [1] IBT had previously published a complete Udmurt Bible in 2013. [1]
