Sanumἀ 2007 New Testament (XSUWBT)

Overview

The Sanumá New Testament (Teusö Tä Waheta) was published in 2007, translated by Donald Borgman (1931-2025) and Barbara Borgman. [1][2] The Borgmans established themselves at the Auaris station among the Sanumá in 1965, serving under UFM (now Crossworld) in partnership with MEVA (Missão Evangélica da Amazônia). [2] Don created the Sanumá orthography, wrote a grammar, and compiled a Sanumá dictionary published by MEVA in 1991. [2] The first Sanumá conversions came after roughly 20 years of work. [1] The Sanumá are a subgroup of the Yanomami, living near the Brazil-Venezuela border. [2]
