Yessan-Mayo Yawu New Testament (YSSWBT)
Overview
The New Testament in the Yawu dialect of Yessan-Mayo (autonym Yamano), a Papuan language of the Tama subgroup within the Sepik family. Yessan-Mayo is spoken in the villages of Maio and Yessan in the Ambunti Rural LLG of East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. Linguistic documentation of the language includes Velma Foreman's 1974 SIL grammar and Don Laycock's PARADISEC field recordings.
