Zia New Testament (ZIAWBT)
Overview
The Zia New Testament was dedicated in December 1981 and published in 1982 by Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Zia language (also known as Lower Waria or Tsia), spoken by approximately 6,550 people in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. The Zia New Testament was the very first translation project of the PNG Bible Translation Association (BTA). [1] Old Testament translation work is ongoing, with Lutheran Bible Translators also supporting a Zia Bible Translation program focused on equipping local leaders. [2]
