El Nuevo Testament en el idioma Zapoteco de Loxicha (ZTPEBL)

Overview

This is the New Testament in Loxicha Zapotec (ISO 639-3: ztp), also known as Western Pochutla Zapotec or Zapoteco de Candelaria Loxicha, a Southern Zapotec language spoken by over 70,000 people in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico [1][2]. Loxicha Zapotec is one of the more populous Zapotec varieties, and a significant proportion of its speakers are monolingual [1]. The translation was published in 2025 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. A mobile app providing the text with audio and automatic text highlighting is also available [3]. Not all Zapotec varieties from towns named "Loxicha" belong to this language; San Baltazar Loxicha Zapotec, for example, is a distinct language [1].
