Jona (APPEBL)
Overview
Jona contains the book of Jonah in the Apma language (also called Abma or Central Raga), spoken by approximately 7,800 people on central Pentecost Island in Vanuatu. Apma is the most widely spoken of Pentecost's native languages and the fifth largest vernacular in Vanuatu. [1] This 2024 edition was published by Pioneer Bible Translators. Catholic missionaries produced earlier religious text translations, and an Apma New Testament was published in the 1970s. [1]
