Kayong Scripture Portions — The Word for Vietnam (KXYWFW)
Overview
This audio Scripture resource in the Kayong language was produced by The Word for Vietnam, a ministry dedicated to providing Bible resources to Vietnam's many minority ethnic language communities. Vietnam is home to over 50 officially recognized ethnic minorities, many of whom speak Austroasiatic or Austronesian languages distinct from the majority Vietnamese. The Kayong people belong to the Xo Dang (Sedang) group of peoples in the central highlands. Access to the Bible in heart languages is a significant need among Vietnam's highland minorities, where evangelical Christianity has grown substantially in recent decades. The Word for Vietnam works alongside international partners including Faith Comes By Hearing to make audio Scripture available to these communities. Bible portions are the current level of Scripture access for Kayong speakers, with no complete New Testament or full Bible reported.
