Jordan

Jordan, officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is a country in Western Asia, located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe. It shares borders with Saudi Arabia to the south and east, Iraq to the northeast, Syria to the north, Israel and Palestine to the west, and has a coastline along the Dead Sea. Covering an area of approximately 89,342 square kilometers, Jordan has a population of about 10 million people as of 2023. The capital and largest city is Amman. The official language is Arabic. Jordan operates as a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy. The economy is classified as an emerging market, with key sectors including services, industry, and agriculture. Jordan is known for its historical sites, such as Petra and the Dead Sea, and its role as a stable and moderate country in a turbulent region. The country is a member of international organizations such as the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
